Abstract

As faculty members, we all participate in the scholarly publishing ecosystem as readers and scholars. The scholarly publishing industry is changing rapidly due to evolving funding models, public access mandates, AI, and broader issues with public trust in science. How do these changes impact individual scholars, and what will this landscape look like in the coming years? This program will provide a background and current overview of the scholarly publishing industry and discuss trends in publication funding models, peer review, and research integrity that are shaping the future. The session will be presented by Sue Maszaros, Director of Library Services and Claire Wiley, Scholarly Communications Librarian
