Abstract
Post-examination reviews can boost test-taking strategies, enhance exam scores, increase student self-confidence, and reduce anxiety. Such reviews can be faculty-led or student-led. Student-led reviews encourage peer discussions and critical thinking, while faculty-led reviews may focus more on content. Cognitive exam wrappers as a post-examination review are a useful tool for promoting self-monitoring. They encourage students to reflect on their preparation, understanding, and mistakes, leading to improved performance, deeper learning, and better study habits. This structured reflection enhances metacognition and helps students actively engage in their learning process. Incorporating cognitive exam wrappers fosters continuous learning and provides valuable insights for future assessments.
