Summary

[ REDACTED ] is a work that seeks to question the relationship between the perception of a thing, and the thing’s meaning. The work seeks to explore the boundary between power and knowledge through obsessive observation and selective erasure of context. There is a discomfort in being presented with a part of a story when the missing information is subtly present but being kept from you; [ REDACTED ] aims to highlight how the removal, destruction, or manipulation of context alters meaning and the inherent power implications of censorship. [ REDACTED ] came about as an effort to understand who is making decisions and who is being affected by them while questioning, ultimately;  “am I the only one who noticed?”
