Summary
This project highlights the historical value of Fort Negley. How I interpret this is approaching the design of this project through an evaluation of the ground. There is so much history under the ground of Fort Negley that we don’t yet know. There have been so many historical events that have taken place on that site as well. When thinking of a building for that site, I want it to respect the ground and in turn respect the community. Using building techniques to value the site is how I came to the conclusion of my design.
