Summary
This study examined the effectiveness of Nashville Soccer Club’s Kickstart to Reading program, a corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at improving literacy rates among third graders in Metro Nashville Public Schools. Data will be collected through focus groups conducted on Microsoft Teams as well as a Qualtrics survey with 22 schools and 79 classrooms. The areas of study will be resources, support, student engagement and effectiveness, and program satisfaction. Data analysis is anticipated to include thematic analysis of focus group findings, and quantitative data from the Qualtrics survey will be measured through descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling techniques.
