Summary
The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of Nashville Soccer Club’s Kickstart to Reading program, an initiative aimed at improving literacy among third graders in the Metro Nashville Public School system. Data will be collected through focus groups conducted through Microsoft Teams and a Qualtrics survey. The data collected includes the effectiveness of resources, support, student engagement, effectiveness, and satisfaction in the program which is involved in 22 schools and 79 classrooms. The quantitative data will be measured and quantified using descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling, and the qualitative data will be measured with thematic analysis of the focus groups.
