Description
This photo was taken on our first day of the trip, in the Forbidden City at Tiananmen Square. We were there on the 30th anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen square riots. What struck me was that most of our fellow tourists were citizens of China and therefore aren't taught about these riots. It is amazing how so many people could fill the space and not know it's true significance.
