Description

Walking the streets of Hong Kong, the air was heavy with humidity and dissent. Being in the same country as violent protests caused everyone to be alert and on edge, although we were safe on another island. I was often startled on these streets by drops of water that mysteriously fell from above. The fear I felt the first time one slid down my forehead will never leave me. While I might have been a little skittish, the fear of imminent "drip-age" from the mystery source above became shared among our group. It wasn't until I looked up and noticed the window air-conditioning units that I was able to pinpoint the source of the drops. While some anxieties were relaxed, we all remained on edge, wondering when and where the next protest would drop.
