OTD Capstone Projects

Home Modification Resources for Families of Children with Disabilities

Abstract

This doctoral capstone project was completed through a partnership with Tucker's House, a non-profit organization that renovates and retrofits homes of families who have children with disabilities. The primary focus of this project was to create various resources for caregivers who are receiving modifications to their homes. These resources include educational videos for demonstrating correct technique and performance of various transfers, a community resource guide for durable medical equipment and adaptive equipment, and simple storage and solutions for the home.
