OTD Capstone Projects

Abstract

This doctoral capstone project was completed in partnership with REBOOT Recovery, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing trauma healing through faith-based, peer-led courses. The purpose of this project was to develop a qualitative survey methodology to evaluate and analyze issues/successes that arise for participants and leaders of the 12-week courses. Additionally, educational content was developed for the justice impacted/justice involved communities on how to rebuild relationships post incarceration and how to stay connected during incarceration. To obtain more information and data on the experience of previous leaders of REBOOT courses and potentially how to improve their experience, a survey was created and informal phone interviews were conducted. The ultimate goal of this project was to ensure the experience through REBOOT courses is the best it can be for the participants and leaders.
