OTD Capstone Projects

Abstract

This capstone project was completed in partnership with Nurture Nashville Yoga. The goals included identifying the needs of current and potential prenatal participants. That data was used to develop an individualized, occupational therapy-informed curriculum tailored to this population. An occupational profile-based interview was conducted to gather marketing insights and enhance the agency’s understanding of what participants want and need to support engagement in meaningful occupations—including attending classes at Nurture Nashville Yoga. The interview process revealed common themes related to barriers, facilitators, goals, and requested topics for future workshops. Based on these findings, a curriculum was developed and presented at Nurture Nashville Yoga. As an additional deliverable, a series of short, recorded videos were created to support and expand upon key topics from the curriculum. Digital access to the full curriculum and videos was provided for future use in the organization’s resource library.
