Belmont Law Review
Volume 5, Issue 1 (2018) Symposium 2017: Education Reform at the Intersection of Law, Politics, and Policy
Since its inception in 2012, the Belmont Law Review has enthusiastically sought to create and preserve a platform for intellectual exchange on topics affecting the legal profession. The members of this student-managed, student-edited scholarly journal dedicate themselves to facilitating, promoting, and engaging in valuable legal discourse through the Law Review's annual symposium and publication.
In October 2017, the Belmont Law Review hosted its fifth symposium on the subject of Education Reform at the Intersection of Law, Politics, and Policy. The Law Review would like to extend warmest thanks to the outstanding lawyers and professors who participated in this year's symposium, whose thoughtful insights shaped an engaging symposium and contributed greatly to this volume.
The Law Review also wishes to express its appreciation for the commitment of the College of Law faculty, staff, and administration in supporting and advancing the Law Review's intentions. We extend particular gratitude to Professor Jeffrey Usman, whose unyielding help and guidance was instrumental in steering the Law Review at each turn.
Lastly, I would like to humbly thank the Law Review staff members for their devotion to producing an excellent symposium and volume. Many thanks specifically to Paul Fata, Sarah Sims, and Ryan Schmidt for their vital aid in seeing the symposium to fruition. I am further indebted to Dana Jaskier for coming alongside and bettering each effort, and edit that went into this publication.
