Description
“This fragile earth, our island home.” I can never think of the film WALL-E without this line from the Book of Common Prayer coming to mind. Might we one day have to leave our fragile home not as explorers but as refugees from a trashed planet on which we have left little unpolluted? What would we become, separated from the home which nurtured us, fed us, even upheld us through its gravity? Can we be saved from ourselves? These are some of the questions I hope we will explore after a viewing of this film which garnered for Pixar the 2008 Academy Award Winner for Best Animated Feature.
