Abstract
Cecil Branstetter (1921-2014) was a Nashville labor attorney who began his practice in the late 1940s. His career was spent advocating for the workers of Tennessee. He served in the House of Representatives in Tennessee General Assembly’s 77th Congress in 1951. He would go on to be a member of the Metropolitan Action Commission, the Metropolitan Human Relations Commission, and the American Civil Liberties Union among many other prestigious appointments.
