Abstract

This study looks into the relationship between humanitarian aid and humanitarian development, exploring how they address immediate needs and foster long-term development for in-need communities worldwide. With a focus on countries with large Islamic populations, the study looks at aid distribution, governance challenges, and geopolitical dynamics that shape the effectiveness of aid in promoting human development. Islamic populations in recipient countries present unique cultural, political, and economic factors because of their growing hostility towards the West influencing aid effectiveness. This dataset spans from 2002 to 2020, the analysis uses a multiples regression to look at the dynamics of aid effectiveness. By examining the significance between aid disbursement, Islamic population demographics, and human development outcomes, as well as controls the study looks at the challenges and opportunities in using humanitarian aid for sustainable progress. Further research is needed to deepen our understanding and inform action towards promoting human development worldwide.
