Abstract
Now that you are becoming more comfortable with your courses, students, colleagues, and the rhythm of the academic year at Belmont, we wanted to focus our time with you on preparation for tenure and promotion. We find that faculty who are mentored early on in that regard are more prepared and less overwhelmed when the time comes to apply. We hope this theme of tenure and promotion will connect the three First-Year Faculty Seminar sessions for the semester and provide helpful advice as you move forward in your career. You are certainly welcome to join us to learn about tenure/promotion processes at Belmont even if you are not currently in a tenure-track position.
