Abstract
We have designed a Java based program that applies the user’s choice of Newton’s Method or the Bisection Method to a polynomial or exponential equation based on the user’s input. The idea behind this program is it used the methods to approximate the solution to the equation. When designing this program, we added some error checks into the code such as checking that the user’s input is valid and divide by zero error. With the given default equations, the user enters numbers for the parameters in the equation.
