Summary

This project involved a comprehensive review and update of the Nashville Children' s Theatres’ standards and procedures for their Drama School and Internship programs. The end goal of this project is to create clearer, more consistent, and student-focused policies within NCT’s standards and procedures for the wellbeing of both students as well as faculty. Our task was to review the existing materials/procedures other youth programs use, compare them, and use them to help rewrite NCT’s standards and procedures. We hope that our new policies will improve communication across the programs, increasing consistency, as well as improving safety, accountability, and establishing a nurturing environment for the young artists. By improving the standards and procedures NCT uses, we hope the programs will run more smoothly. Our task will help the organization achieve their mission by providing a safe, inclusive, and enriching theatre experience for everyone.
