Summary
Pamela Luck is an interdisciplinary artist working primarily in ceramics, where she explores the elegance of natural forms through a reflection of routine. She merges natural beauty with ideas of repetitiveness through hands-on processes, in result creating pieces that elevate the spaces they occupy. Her work aims to balance function and sculpture, sometimes intertwining the two. Her research this semester explores the history of surface texture in ceramics. Through her explorations and experiments of surface impressions, she has developed her own unique process of producing texture on the vessels she creates. This process is heavily influenced by her own memories and connection to specific landscapes.
