Summary
In many US cities, there is a strong divide between those who have adequate housing and those who do not. This division has a deep-rooted history in American society and stretches into numerous other aspects of people's lives. To develop a better understanding of the gravity of housing inequality, our team has performed an in-depth dissection of its presence in the greater Nashville area. In our presentation, we will detail its historical context, outline its effects on Nashville's industry and economy, and display how it influences different groups' access to social services and welfare. Additionally, we will provide certain case studies in Nashville that shine a spotlight on subjects like gentrification and affordable housing access.
