Summary
This garment project explores dart manipulation through half-scale dress studies, focusing on how different techniques shape fit and form. Using an armhole princess seam, traditional waist darts are transformed into continuous lines that extend through the bodice into the skirt. Godets add volume and movement to the lower garment, while a flared collar and full sleeve hems enhance the overall silhouette. The project demonstrates how technical patternmaking can create both structure and fluidity in design.
