Summary
The bodice design features an intersecting dart with gathers. The process begins by transferring the waist dart to the mid-armhole. A new style line is then drawn from the dart point across the front bodice toward the opposite side waist. The Slashing technique is applied by cutting along this line, stopping at the dart point, and closing the original dart to shift the fullness. As the dart closes, the slashed sections open, creating gathers under the bust and redistributing volume in a more fluid manner. This intersecting dart with gathers design complements the overall garment by enhancing movement and adding visual interest to the silhouette.
