Summary
The World Health Organization has cited that cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer found in women globally. Efforts to impact the incidence of cervical cancer through the HPV inoculation of girls by the age of fifteen became a recommended vaccination in 2007. Due to the recent emergence of the HPV vaccine, long term data is still being collected. This leads to the question, in the future will there be a decrease in cervical cancer diagnoses since the implementation of the recommended HPV vaccination for women.
