Description

Kate and Kirsten at the East Side Gallery in Berlin, Germany. Seeing the East Side Gallery was a very sobering and humbling experience. The murals were extremely poignant and spoke to the horrible history the people of Germany endured through WWII. However, the murals also spoke to the hope that people found throughout all the horrors and the growth and freedom that came afterwards.
