Advocacy For Occupational Therapy Within A Local Jail
Abstract
The purpose of this OTD capstone project was to advocate for the need of occupational therapy services within a local jail. A partnership between the Nashville Davidson County Sheriff's Office and a third year OTD student. Over the course of 14 weeks the student was able to identify occupational needs and implement interventions within the local jail, as well as contribute to current DCSO re-entry programs.
