In this talk, Charlotte Roh, Reference and Instruction Librarian at California State San Marcos, will discuss the demographics of academia, scholarly publishing, and the ongoing issues that impact equity, diversity, and inclusion. Charlotte's background in academic publishing informs her current practice in anti-racism library and publishing work. As a board member for the Society of Scholarly Publishing, she serves as a liaison to the Coalition for Diversity and Inclusion in Scholarly Communications, which represents trade and professional associations that represent organizations and individuals working in scholarly communications. Learn what people and organizations are doing and can do to forward social justice and equity in this field.
