Description
How can we integrate technology into the classroom in ways that will awaken our students to the real-world immediacy of our fields of study and inspire engaged collaboration? Our presentation explains one way that we are attempting to do just that—through Shakespeare in Nashville, a webbased archive of local Shakespearean performances built by Nashville-area undergraduates and housed at Belmont University. We will give an overview of the project, including class assignments and partnerships, and discuss the benefits for our students, our university and the Nashville community at large.
