Panel Discussion
Start Date

Description
Technology is a driving force of history, and as such, interacts with literature as both inspiration and imitation. As technology has been given increasingly prominent places in the lives of every generation, it has become a growing concern for writers as novels explore the changing atmosphere of society as it has been inundated with new technologies. Simultaneously, technology affects the way society experiences literature through the changing mediums of adaptation as best selling books are turned into movies or TV shows. The papers in this panel will explore ways in which technology has intersected with literature as part of the explored subject and themes or in the interpretation and performance of the writing.
