Core Studies served as a foundation for visual communication as well as a place to establish habits for a rewarding life long practice in the creative arts. Students learned basic skills in the elements and principles of design through drawing, 2D, 3D and 4D frameworks as well in fundamental hands-on and digital skills. Students applied the elements and principles of design to gain basic visual literacy and incorporated research into their practice to expand their capacity to develop concepts and think critically.
