Abstract
Monroe Carrell (1932-2008) was a businessman and philanthropist who was the Chairman and CEO of Central Parking Corporation. He dedicated his later years to improving children’s health and helped make possible The Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. In his interview with Carey, he discusses growing up and his career with the Central Parking Corporation.
