Abstract
The purpose of our project is to shed light on the dynamics between incarceration and mental health, addressing the challenges mental health causes within the prison system and during the reentry process post-incarceration. The critical need to spread awareness and understanding in our community is vital. Our project has involved spreading awareness in our community and creating meaningful change in the lives of incarcerated individuals. We aim to support individuals’ mental health as they navigate the justice system and post-release rehabilitation. This poster will show the work that we’ve accomplished throughout the past two semesters. This includes pictures from our work with Dismas House, pictures and information from our WELL Core speakers, and the impact this project has made on our lives.
