Abstract
The electoral process serves as a cornerstone of democratic societies, yet it is often subject to the subtle yet potent influence of human cognitive biases. This research paper and presentation delves into the nexus between cognitive biases and electoral voting behavior focusing on two prominent biases: the Halo Effect and groupthink. Understanding the interplay between these variables involved in the voting process is crucial for fostering informed civic engagement as well as enhancing electoral transparency and fortifying the foundations of democratic governance.
