The Graduate Hotels: Social Media Audit

Written by: Mallory Beach, Josie Dummer, Caroline Hunse, Mikayla Langon, Nora Suknaic

For this audit we will look at The Graduate Hotels. The Graduate Hotels are a collection of hotels under a boutique brand that focuses on college towns in the United States, although there is one international location. The brand focuses on quirky decor unique to each location of the hotel, intending to give guests an authentic experience wherever they're staying. This social media audit will analyze The Graduate Hotels and how they utilize their social media accounts.

The hotel chain was founded in 2014 by Ben Weprin in the United States, with the first hotel near the University of Georgia in Athens. The company has since expanded to more than 30 locations across the country.

Although The Graduate has a presence on most social media platforms, there are some aspects that they could improve upon to get better use out of their channels. By partnering with local colleges and the celebrities the hotels are inspired by, The Graduate could reach a bigger audience, which would bring in more business and create a stronger relationship with their guests.

In conclusion, The Graduate Hotels have a great foundation on their social media platforms but could be utilized in a more productive matter. This audit will cover the current social media for The Graduate and will evaluate what is working for the business as well as what could be done better. This report will also give insight as to how The Graduate can compete with its competitors and stand out in the Hospitality and Tourism Market.
