Abstract

Within daily life, the utilization of various cognitive functions, such as thinking, remembering, and reasoning, assist individuals in navigating their day-to-day activities. The aging process can showcase mild changes in cognition, however, dementia is not a normal part of the process. Dementia is not a single disease, rather a general term describing symptoms associated with a decline in memory or various thinking skills. This project utilizes a publicly available dataset provided by the Open Access Series of Imaging Studies (OASIS) to help classify whether or not an individual could have dementia.
