11:45-12:45 - Finch - Edgehill's Best Community Newspaper - In this session, students from Rose Park Middle School will share their inspiring journey to reignite Edgehill's Best Community Newspaper in partnership with Belmont University. Belmont’s undergraduate education students collaborated with middle school students, offering feedback and support as they navigated the process of content creation, editorial decision-making, and the technical aspects of getting their work published and printed. This partnership not only empowered the middle school students to engage with real-world publishing practices but also fostered a cross-generational learning environment, highlighting the importance of community-based education and collaborative partnerships in fostering student growth and civic engagement.
