Summary

Photography has been a modern achievement that has shaped and frozen crucial moments in time. How does the collective public remember periods of time in history like the civil rights movement? Through Photography.

Beyond historical documentation, photography shapes collective memory and immortalizes events and figures to be remembered. Civil rights photography has and continues to serve as a tool for advocacy, pushing for social justice by capturing moments that demand action.

Comments

This SPARK submission is through my Honors Research and Execution class. The research being presented through a poster session is a reflection of what our class did during the 2025 Peace Summit at Fisk and Belmont University.

Attached Poster for reference, however will have it fully printed myself at SPARK.
