Summary
Through my compositional studies in the fall I created a concept that has continued to develop into what it is now. This dance, which is highly up to interpretation, represents a push and pull relationship that reveals very complex emotions. Originally created to express the relationship I had with my mom growing up, it now has shifted in meaning for myself to be about my relationship with God. This world can grab a hold of you and pull you away from God with out you even realizing it's happening and the guilt that follows the realization of past sin. I really hope that every audience member can attach their own personal experiences to this work and hopefully feel a connection to the story.
