Summary
The context for this project is the consistent migration of
certain fish species, namely the smallmouth buffalo and white bass, upstream to
lay and fertilize their eggs like how the salmon do in the northwest. The issue being addressed and investigated here, is what factors determine this behavior and to what effect? For example, do temperature changes lead them to decide to migrate? Does salinity or depth determine how far up the river they go? What correlates with the rivers where they are common versus the
rivers they avoid?
