Summary
Nature plays a vital role in everyone’s well-being. Beaman Park, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is an essential part of the region’s ecosystem and a valued natural space for the Middle Tennessee community. Inspired by its significance, the “Beaman in Bloom” (BiB) event was created to promote the physical and mental health benefits of spending time in nature. In preparation for the main event on April 12, 2025, BiB hosted a series of WELLCore sessions to assess and improve college students’ awareness of nature’s health benefits. The preliminary findings revealed a general lack of understanding among participants. However, after the presentation, students reported an increased awareness and appreciation of nature’s positive impact on well-being, highlighting the importance of continued outreach and education.
