This study explores the voting patterns and behaviors of new Americans within the Burmese community, focusing on the factors that influence their civic engagement. The primary objective of this research is to understand the challenges and concerns faced by these individuals in the electoral process, including potential barriers to participation. The significance of this work lies in its potential to reveal voting behaviors of immigrant communities in middle Tennessee and contributes to broader efforts aimed at reducing inequality and promoting democratic inclusion. The research will employ focus group meetings and in-depth interviews, building relationships with community members to gather qualitative insights.
