Summary
In this presentation, we discuss our ongoing project concerning pollinator gardens and schools as part of the Honors Scholars' Collaborative. Pollinator gardens are gardens created to facilitate and protect the symbiotic relationship between native pollinators and pollen-producing plants. Pollinator gardens are often used to combat the threats posed by invasive species and urban sprawl. In this project, our group collaborated with the Tennessee Environmental Council to install a pollinator garden at a local elementary school. We also helped to design a pollinator-themed board game as part of an ongoing initiative to teach kids about the importance of pollinators and native plants.
