London, Berlin, Athens: Urban ‘Sites’ and Art ‘Seeing’
Walking through the memorial is one experience I will always remember. When you take a step back and take in what this memorial means and the silence that is within the sea of thousands of concrete blocks, which represent lives taken in the Holocaust, it is one of the most emotional, conceptually sound pieces of architecture, in my opinion. It is heartbreaking, but also provides hope for your own life.
