OTD Capstone Projects
Abstract
This doctoral capstone project was completed in partnership with Flip for Function, a therapeutic gymnastics program that promotes self-confidence through adaptive athletics and child-led activities. The aim of this project was to enhance the efficiency of events to promote visibility and awareness of Flip for Function within the community. To reach these goals, research-based sensory activities, graphics, programming, and effective timelines were established to ensure seamless execution of events and promote awareness within the community. Alongside this, a choice board was created and implemented within the gym to promote access to communication resources for all individuals. As a result, events were conducted with the use of deliverables to elevate effectiveness and efficiency.
