Description
In the South, there are enemies everywhere in nature. From mosquitoes that sneak attack us, roaches that creep into our rooms at night, and parasites that use us as a vessel for survival. In this talk, we’ll explore some of the most fascinating and spooky organisms in the South that use mind control and that exploit our bodies’ weaknesses. We’ll also discuss how parasites helped create the idea of the “lazy southerner” and how certain species can make you more likely to die in a car wreck or harm yourself.
