Description
What’s the first word that comes to mind when you think about academic libraries? If you said, “book” then you wouldn’t be alone, but if libraries are just about books then they will cease to exist. In the digital age, academic libraries are evolving from warehouses of books to sites of creation and dissemination of new knowledge. They are building on their traditional roles and values and supporting new forms of communication and scholarship such as digital humanities projects. In this presentation, Belmont library faculty will discuss trends in academic libraries in the digital age and a vision of how Bunch Library could be transformed.
