Description
Drawing on the speaker’s experiences in building and editing interactive course materials, this presentation investigates the recent migration of textbooks from print to digital platforms. Dr. Cox will discuss research in the learning sciences and the application of that research in the development of design principles for digital textbooks. She will demonstrate digital textbooks for art history, psychology, U.S. history and literature courses and will ask students who have made use of interactive textbooks to engage in an open discussion of their merits and/or shortcomings.
