Description
Focusing upon service-learning in conjunction with classroom activities, this panel examines how reflective writing, relationships with community partners, and student advocacy serve as liberating actions. As students concurrently engage in service activities and required coursework, their writing indicates increased awareness of social injustice and inequality, thereby empowering students to seek opportunities for future civic engagement.
