Dr. Maria Tatar is the John L. Loeb Professor of Germanic Languages and Literatures at Harvard University. Her most recent publications include The Annotated Brothers Grimm, the Norton Critical Edition of The Classic Fairy Tales, and The Hard Facts of the Grimms' Fairy Tales.
