How To Dress for a Summer Camp Dance: How Point of View Through a Woman’s Voice Influences the Reader’s Experience

Date of Award

Summer 8-8-2024

Abstract

By looking at the way point of view affects the reader's experience, these short stories tell the stories of five different women. Each story differs in the way it approaches point of view, allowing first, second, and third point of view to voice these women's stories. With each story, the reader becomes aware of the closeness they share with the narrator and characters through perspective. While women's stories are not always valued, these stories try to give each character a voice.
